Usually a Panama cruise that transits the Panama Canal originates at a port on either coast of the U.S. and ends at the opposite coast. Typically, a Panama cruise that does not transit the Canal enters the staging harbor at either end of the Panama Canal and offers excursions to see the local attractions. A non-transit Panama cruise usually returns to a port of call on the same coast as its origination.
